The History Behind Lakewood

Lakewood Park originated from a horse pasture and gravel pit in 1969.  Phase I of our community offered 87 homesites.  The gravel pit was enlarged, landscaped and filled with water to become the beautiful lake it is today -- complete with an island!

Phase II of Lakewood Park was completed in 1973 with the addition of 51 homesites.  The overall landscaping plan for our community was enhanced with the installation of an additional smaller lake and intimate canal system.

Phase III at Lakewood Park included 43 additional spaces.  This spacious addition borders the north side of the lake and Waterfront Clubhouse, featuring waterfront homesites and scenic walkways.
